Designing The Connected Home
The CEDIA, RIBA and BIID accredited ‘Designing Integrated Future-Ready Homes’ CPD provides a substantial overview of home automations and covers all basic aspects of home technology integration. The presentation will help attendees appreciate the benefits of home automation, systems integration and structured wiring and participants will learn how to relay this best to their clients. Attendees will leave with a great understanding of the basic techniques and learn about common terminology used within custom installation and opportunities within the home automation space.
Outdoor Technology - Extending the Living Space
Over the last ten years, as technology has evolved, so too has the desire of homeowners to make the most of their outdoor living spaces. Technology that previously lived inside the property is now extended to the outdoors.
Across the UK, there are 22 million residential gardens and around 40% of the £7.5 billion we spend on gardens yearly is devoted to planting home comforts next to the lawn, pool or flower beds. New features such as hard landscaping, furniture and lights are transforming garden spaces into ‘extra rooms’ and this is only set to increase.

Designing Home Cinema & Media Rooms
Dedicated and convertible entertainment spaces need careful thought and professional design to perform well, and ultimately wow the homeowner. This presentation takes a deep dive into home cinema and media rooms, covering areas such as design principles, space planning and acoustic treatments. Attendees will leave the presentation with an understanding of all the components that make a good home cinema and media room and the difference between the two as well as the basic vocabulary used.
